ELI and EDYTHE BROAD ART MUSEUM

Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, East Lansing, Michigan


Current managing director of Departure for the City of Vienna (and former Austrian Cultural Forum Director), Christoph Thun-Hohenstein along with Vienna based artist and gallerist Lisa Ruyter have both been named to the curatorial advisory board of the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, East Lansing, Michigan.

That makes a full half of the board from Austria! The other appointees are Singaporean art critic Adele Tan and New York based artist Martha Rosler. Michael Rush is the Museum's director which is scheduled to open in 2012 with an endowment of $28 million from Eli and Edythe Broad with $7 million of that going to new art acquisitions. 

Eli and Edythe Broad have also endowed the Los Angeles Broad Art Foundation with $200 million and is scheduled to open in 2 years in a building designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro.
